Blanche Marie Cain

Yadkinville Ms. Blanche Cain, 73, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. Ms. Cain was born March 26, 1941 in Yadkin County to Cliff and Elizabeth Wooten Cain. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cain was preceded in death by six siblings, Ruth Peele, Katie Calloway, Opal Gregory, Dorothy Cain, Fred Cain, and JC Cain. She is survived by two children, Kim (Geoffrey) Schimmeck and Stacey Parks; six grandchildren, Jimmy (Amy) McEwen, Justin (Tori) McEwen, Britny Parks, Ryan (Kimberly) Parks, Austin Parks, and Doug (Trista) Schimmeck; three great grandchildren, Grace McEwen, Lorelei Schimmeck, and Sophia Parks; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3:00PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She will lie in state from 2:30 to 3:00PM. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autumn Care of Mocksville, 1007 Howard St, Mocksville, NC 27028. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Autumn Care of Mocksville, especially to nurse Cathy, for all the love, care, and support given to Ms. Cain during her illness.
