Mildred Lee Adams Turner

Mildred Adams Turner, 78, passed away Friday March 28, 2014 at Yadkin Nursing Center. She was born August 17, 1935 in Wilkes County to the late Luther Adams and Etta Gentry Adams. Mrs. Turner was a very active member of Forbush Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby G. Turner, three sisters Effie Holbrook, Thelma Sturgill, Beulah Norton; two brothers Allison Adams, and Fred Adams. Surviving are her son Tim (Michelle) Turner; grandchildren Nicole Turner, Nathan Turner; sister Alma Wyatt; brother John Adams; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday March 30, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday March 31, 2014 at Forbush Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe Souther. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Turner.
