Grady Richard Jeffrey, Sr.

Grady Richard Jeffrey, Sr. 70, passed away Monday April 7, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1943 in West Virginia to the late Harry Alonzo Jeffrey and Goldie Ethel Nelson Jeffrey. He served in the US Army during Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jennings Jeffrey. Surviving are his wife Betty Jane Slate Jeffrey; children Gloria (Michael) Underwood, Jack (JoAnn) Wood, Richie (Elisha) Jeffrey; grandchildren Brad, Megan, and Marshall Drew; great grandchildren Rylee and Miley; a sister Lois "Cookie" (Mossy) Miller. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday April 13, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service. A graveside will be held Monday April 14, 2014 at 12:00 PM at VA National Cemetery in Salisbury.
