Lois Helen Minton Jackson

Lois Helen Minton Jackson, 84, passed away Sunday April 27, 2014 at Wilkes Regional Hospital. She was born May 31, 1929 in Wilkes County to the late Frank and Martha Brown Reavis. She was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church in Yadkinville. Preceded in death by her first husband Arvil Minton; step son Larry Jackson. Surviving are her husband Nelson C. jackson; children Eddie (Allene) Minton, Sue (Ben) Johnson, Mary Elizabeth (Kenneth) Hamby, Diane (Jake) Colpetzer, Vickie (Eugene) Groce, Carroll Wayne Minton (Wanda Love); step daughter T J (Tim) Sales sixteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; sister Frances of South Carolina. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday April 29, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 30, 2014 at Peace Haven Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy Settle, Rev. George Evans, and Rev, Paul Siceloff. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hilltop Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice, Wilkes Regional and Avante for the loving care given to Mrs. Jackson.
