Mary Harris Shore

Shore Hamptonville - Mary Harris Shore, 96, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. She was born April 9, 1918 in Yadkin County to the late Daniel Benjamin Harris and Vallie Mathis Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Arphew Shore; son-in-law, Donald Swaim; sisters, Beulah Stanley, Thelma Cooper, Nancy Summers; brothers, Ora Harris, Thurman Harris, Willie Shore; special nephew, Benny Coram. Surviving are her daughters, Willodean Swaim, Brenda Joan (James) Oliver; grandchildren, Leslie (Keith) Clapp, Robin (Gary) Lizotte; great grandchildren, Lukas Clapp, Lindzy Lizotte, Zachary Lizotte; special nephews, Dalton (Pat) Coram, Mark Coram, Kevin Coram; special niece, Linda Coram; Mary's special cat, Chloe. Her funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Mountain View Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Tucker, and the Rev. Randy Johnson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Mountain View Baptist Church.
