Betty Finney Shore

Shore Jonesville - Betty Jean Finney Shore, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 13, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Coy Finney and Beulah Collins Finney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Taylor; brother, Rev. James Finney. Surviving are her husband, Ray Columbus Shore; daughter, Shelia (Powell) Simpson; grandchildren, William "Will" Simpson, Leah Ray Simpson; sister-in-law, Mae Finney; nieces, Diana Gwyn, Scarlett Layell; nephew, Stewart Taylor. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Arlington First Baptist Church by the Rev. Jerry Fugate and Dr. Lon Chenowith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Memorials can be made to Arlington First Baptist Church, 345 S.
