Malcolm Herbert Longworth

Malcolm Herbert Longworth, 77, passed away Monday May 5, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Longworth was born January 23 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Herbert Harrison Longworth and Faith Kinnamon Longworth. He was retired from R. J. Reynolds and was active in the Surry County Boy Scouts. Herb enjoyed trout fishing and spending time in the Mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Timothy Kaye Longworth; two sisters Rosalind Stanley and infant sister Faith; two infant brothers Herman Longworth and Ronald Longworth. Surviving are his son Ronald Gray Longworth; adopted son Christopher Jeffrey Longworth three grandchildren Autumn, Cora, and Cassie; a sister Donna Chadwick; brothers Eddie Longworth, Larry Wayne Longworth, Sr., Stoney (Rebecca) Longworth, and Chris Longworth; best friend and partner Luann Hamby and her three Children Heather, Jeff, and Joseph. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday May 8, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday May 8, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev Ronnie Millsaps. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
