Marie Hutchens Myers

Myers Hamptonville - Marie Hutchens Myers, 83, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 30, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Roy Lee Hutchens and Hattie Sizemore Hutchens Beck. Marie was a very loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always enjoyed being around her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Allgood. Surviving are her husband, Eugene Mathis Myers; sons, Benny (Kim) Myers, Richard (Pamela) Myers; grandchildren, Ashley Myers, Taylor (Rebecca) Myers, Houston Myers, Matthews Myers, Hunter Myers; great grandson, Jack Benjamin Myers; sister, Betty (Ranzie) Brown; brother-in-law, Edsel Allgood; special friends and caregivers, Mary Martinez, Pat Garza. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Joey Tomlin. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
