Frances Groce Blevins

Hamptonville Mrs. Frances Groce Blevins, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Willowbrook Health Care. Mrs. Blevins was born May 20, 1925 in Yadkin County to Moses and Floy Vestal Groce. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles Jackson Blevins; a son, Charles Wayne Blevins; four sisters; and four brothers. She is survived by a son, Stephen Gray Blevins; five grandchildren, Jennifer Ragle, Andy Blevins, Stephanie (Stuart) Smith, Amie (Nathan) Rose, and Jordan Blevins; nine great grandchildren, Audrey, Megan, and Paige Blevins, Allie, Ariel, and Alysse Ragle, Stratton Smith, and Jaxon and Zayne Rose; three sisters, Mary Brown, Gerry Vestal, and Ollie Collins; one brother, John (Columbia) Groce; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 3:00PM at Swaims Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
