Ruth Nelson Wooten

Wooten Yadkinville - Ruth Nelson Wooten, 75, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Willowbrook Nursing Care Center. She was born July 5, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Walter Lee Nelson and Lillie Mae Jackson Nelson. Ruth received her Master's of Cake Decorating Diploma from the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Chicago, IL. She owned and operated Ruth's Bake Shop and Catering for many years. She retired from RJ Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nineteen brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Beverly (Chris) Wallace, Jennifer (Jon) Hoots, Jackie (Mike) Baity, John (Dena) Webb, Scott (Hope) Webb; sister, Linda Carroll; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her memorial service will held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Tim Tucker. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wooten family.
