Dare Augusta Roberts Walker

Dare Augusta Roberts Walker, 79, took her first breath in heaven on Friday May 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1934 in Wilkes County to the late Sherman "Shade" Roberts and Addie Harris Roberts. She was a member of West Yadkin Baptist Church. She retired after 42 years at Hanes Printables. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 Years Roy Lee "Shorty" Walker; a sister Myrl Somers. Surviving are her daughter Robin Walker; grandchildren Mandy (Brian) Hinkle, Allison (Tommy) Beamer; special grandson Joseph Doll; great grandchildren Liam Hinkle, Reece Beamer; sister Nola (Billy) Reavis; two brothers Smith (Betty) Roberts, and Jim (Billye Ann) Roberts; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday May 25, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday May 26, 2014 at West Yadkin Baptist Church by Rev. Flake Mason, Rev. Justin Crouse, and Rev. Jon Bowman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
