Megan Danielle Wood

Elkin Ms. Megan Danielle Wood, 26, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at her home. Ms. Wood was born March 16, 1988 in Surry County to Sandy and Dawn Walker Wood. She was a graduate of Surry Community College and UNC Chapel Hill with highest honors and highest achievements. In addition to her parents, Ms. Wood is survived by two brothers, Blake (Desiree) Wood and Corey (Erin) Wood; grandparents, Wrenn and Linda Walker and Donna Vanwynsberghe; a special uncle, Wrenda (Emily) Walker; and niece and nephew, Morgan and Mason Wood. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Tom Langan, Karen Haynes, Dawn Wood, and Jillian Kowalcik speaking. Burial will follow at her mothers' house. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service.
