Edgar Guy Swaim

Edgar Guy Swaim, 78, passed away Friday June 6, 2014 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Swaim was born February 29, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late Edgar and Stella Myers Swaim. He was a member of Swaims Baptist Church and retired from Unifi. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Scottie Wagoner Swaim; two brothers Garvey Swaim and Donald Swaim. Surviving are his children Kim Fletcher, Marty (Monica) Swaim, Melonie Jessup; grandchildren Andy (Selena) Swaim, Daniel Swaim, Chris (Brittany) Day; great-grandchildren Ashton Swaim, Jacklyn Day, and Isabelle Day. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday June 8, 2014 at Swaim's Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Justin Crouse. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
