Jackie Royal Howell, 92, passed away Friday June 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1922 in Yadkin County to the late Wilie David and Rachael Della Nicks Royal. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, six brothers, her husband Everette Lockett Howell, and son- in- law Kenneth Swaim. Surviving are a son Gerald (Sandra) Wall; a daughter Rickie Swaim; grandchildren Angie (Melvin) Gilliam, Kenric (Tara) Swaim, Kenan (Joanna) Swaim, Jason Macy, Dena Macy, Danielle (Tim) Fulk, Meagan (Jason) Mullis; great- grandchildren Trinity Collins, Raven Goins, Benjamin Burton, Megan Burton, Jade Lily Swaim, Madison Hall, Roman Swaim, Scarlett Swaim, Matthew (Christian) Macy, Nathan Gilliam, Sam Macy; great-great-grandchildren Kayleigh Billips, Cali Macy, Jase Gilliam. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:30 PM Monday June 16, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 3:30 pm following the visitation on Monday at Gentry Family Chapel by Brother Lawrence Warden. Burial will follow at Asbury United Methodist Church. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center and Willowbrook Healthcare Center and special family members for the loving care given to Mrs. Howell.
