Doyle Claybron Grose

Doyle Claybron Grose, 84, went home to be with his Lord on June 17, 2014. Mr. Grose was born April 17, 1930 in Iredell County to the late Carl Thomas and Bertha Wallace Grose. Mr. Grose was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the Harmon Masonic Lodge 0420 for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and one great-grandchild. Surviving are his wife Hazel Trivette Grose; children Carolyn (Gary) Shorter, James (Teresa) Grose, and Hilda (David) Ratledge; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one brother Gilbert (Eva) Grose. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday June 19, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday June 20, 2014 at Liberty Baptist Church by Rev. Marvin Blackburn and Rev. William Hutchens. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors by the NC National Guard and the VFW Post 10346. He will also have the Masonic rights at the cemetery.
