Brady Wade Willard

Yadkinville Mr. Brady Wade Willard, 81, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Willard was born January 19, 1933 in Yadkin County to John and Gladys Driver Willard. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of Pilot View Friends Meeting, where he served as an usher for many years. Mr. Willard was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willard was preceded in death by one sister, Mozelle Pinninx; one brother, Billy Ray Willard; and his feline friend, "Sweet Pea". He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jerlene Dinkins Willard; three nephews, Jerry Ray Willard and wife Donna, Larry Dennis Hemric, and Erik Willard; great niece, Michelle Dinkins; great nephew, Brian Hemric; and a special feline friend, "Love Bug". A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 3:00PM at Pilot View Friends Meeting with Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger and Rev. Jake Penley officiating. He will lie in state from 2:30 to 3:00PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pilot View Friends Meeting, 3225 Pilot View Church Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for all the love, care, and support shown to Mr. Willard and to Marie Hutchens for the support she has given to Mrs. Willard.
