Fred Jay Reece

Fred Jay Reece, 84, passed away Friday June 20, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 4, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Charlie and Toy Willard Reece. Mr. Reece served with the US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jack Reece and Billy Reece. Surviving are his wife Mary Dinkins Reece; a son Dwayne (Karen) Reece; grandchildren Justin (Sharon) Reece, Andrew (Caitie) Reece; great-grandchildren Riley Reece, Avery Reece, and Harrison Reece; a sister Patsy Branch; three brothers James (Virginia) Reece, Donald (Kathy) Reece, David (Shirley) Reece; sister-in-law Carolyn Reece. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday June 23, 2014 at Huntsville Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Brian Chilton. The family would like to say a very special thanks to Dr. Smull and the staff of the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mr. Reece.
