Calvin Jackson Mabry

Jonesville Pastor Calvin Jackson Mabry, Sr., 64, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Pastor Mabry was born August 18, 1949 in Patrick County, VA to Fred and Margaret Epperson Mabry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed spreading the word of God. He was the pastor at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church and retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. In addition to his father, Pastor Mabry was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Harris Mabry. He is survived by his mother; two children, Calvin J. Mabry, Jr. and wife Amy and Melissa Mabry Goins and husband Milen; two grandchildren, Calvin Joseph Mabry and Jacob Adam Mabry; one brother, Ronnie Mabry and wife Dreama; two sisters, Penny Redden and husband Doug and Michelle Goad; and many special friends. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 27, 2014 at 3:00PM at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church with Bishop Bob Williams, Pastor Mike Lane, and Pastor Phillip Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the church family and friends for all the love, care, and support shown during this difficult time.
