Hurley "H.B." Baxter Salmons

Yadkinville Mr. Hurley "H.B." Baxter Salmons, 76, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Salmons was born June 1, 1938 in Yadkin County to Hurley and Emma Driver Salmons, Sr. He was owner and operator of Salmons Construction since 1969 and also enjoyed farming and gardening. Auctioneering was a favorite hobby of Mr. Salmons. He was a member of Harmony Grove Friends Meeting. In addition to his parents, Mr. Salmons was preceded in death by a brother, Thad Salmons. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Huff Salmons; three children, Debbie (Chuck) Monsees, Dale (Cara) Salmons, and Darrell (Lynn) Salmons; four grandchildren, Alice, Racheal, Millie, and Morgan Salmons; a sister-in-law, Daisy Salmons; and several K-9 companions whom he dearly loved. A memorial service will be conducted Monday, June 30, 2014 at 3:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Pastor Harold Salmons and Pastor Brady Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Grove Friends Meeting, 1400 W Main St. Yadkinville, North Carolina 27055. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Dialysis Center and Forsyth Medical Center CICU for all the love, care, and support shown to Mr. Salmons.
