Carol Jene Kiger

Kiger Yadkinville- Carol Jene Hunter Kiger, 71, passed away Tuesday July 1, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Pete Hunter and Nellie Bullins Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Kiger, sister Rachael Brooks; great grandson Isaiah. Surviving are her daughters Carolyn (Roger) Mullis, Angie (Thomas) Foster; her sons John "Ray" (Gwen) Kiger, Michael (Reva) Kiger, Dean (Shannon) Kiger; grandchildren Michelle, Becky, Christopher, J. C., Lisa, James, Jeff, Jordan, Sarah, Judith, Ashlea, Michael, Morgan, Jack, Leiland, Lil Dean, and Robert; great-grandchildren Kaity, Kayla, Caleb, Savannah, Clinton, Bianca, Kylie, Austin, Autumn, Melissa, and Elijah; sisters Louise (John) Weidenhoft, Faye Hunter, Peggy (Junior) Hutchens, Treva Cleary; brothers Bill Hunter (Cheryl Williamson), Lonnie (Mitzi) Hunter, Steve (Robin) Hunter; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday July 3, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday July 4, 2014 in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Eugene Kiger and Rev. George Evans. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church cemetery.
