Roger Neal Crews

Yadkinville Mr. Roger Neal Crews, 66, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at his home. Mr. Crews was born May 26, 1948. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War after graduating from West Yadkin High School and later worked as a driver for Conway Trucking for many years. Mr. Crews was very kind and thoughtful of other people and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He lovingly cared for his wife, Ann during her battle with cancer until her death in 2011. Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 38 years, Margaret Ann Pierce Crews. He is survived by his loyal K-9 companion and friend, KC; his mother-in-law, Ruby Pierce, whom he loved as a mother; sister-in-law, Linda (Wade) Leonard; niece and nephew, Sandra Sheek and Chip Leonard; special friend, Juanita Newsome; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 1:00PM at West Yadkin Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Crouse officiating. Full military honors will be provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard and Yadkin VFW Post 10346. A visitation will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
