Gladys Irene Johnson

Haw River Ms. Gladys Irene Johnson, 84, passed away Monday, July 07, 2014 at Hospice of Alamance County. Ms. Johnson was born May 27, 1930 in Davie County to Dillon and Esther Wells Johnson. She was a member of Swaims Baptist Church. Ms. Johnson enjoyed sewing, reading and playing Bingo. In addition to her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Richard D. King; and several siblings. She is survived by a daughter, Mildred (Ernest) Bragg; two grandchildren, Andy Isaacs (Darlene) and James Bragg (Chea); and two great grandchildren, Jennifer and Jaxon Isaacs. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:00PM at Swaims Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Alamance County for all the love, care, and support shown to Ms. Johnson.
