Grace Myers McGee

McGee Yadkinville - Mrs. Grace Mae Myers McGee, 84, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her home. Mrs. McGee loved the Lord and shared this love with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, USN retired Claude A. McGee, her mother, Grace Shore Myers, three brothers Marshall Ray Myers, Wayne Dennis Myers, Ralph Myers and three sisters Melba Myers, Marie Settlemyer, and MerlineLoflin (J.H. Loflin, Jr.). She is survived by one brother, Donald Myers, three children, Dennis (Alyn) McGee, Alison (Greg) Kirby,and Kevin (Tina) McGee, five grandchildren, Jeremi McGee, Jessica (Chris) Bassett, Jaime (Joey) Scott, Erin (Jeff) Durham, and John Osborne, two great grandchildren, Ethan McGee and Riley Durham, also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. McGee had a large, close, extended family. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Chaplain Greg Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 pm on Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The interment will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for the wonderful care and support they provided. They would also like to thank the many caregivers and friends that gave love and support.
