Vera Coffey Foster

Obituary for Vera Coffey Foster Yadkinville - Vera Coffey Foster, of Huntsville, died July 29, 2014. She was born May 10, 1931 in Watauga County. Mrs. Foster is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Foster, whom she married on August 9, 1961. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Bertie Wall Coffey, formerly of Fleetwood, NC. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her loving sisters, Ruth Isenhour and Hattie (Harold) Ren, and her brothers, Wade L. Coffey, and William Frank Coffey; her beloved aunt, Ann Goins, and her nephew, Leroy Ren. She is survived by her stepchildren, Susan, Richard, Doris Tursi, and Linda Watkins; her step-grandchildren Sonya and Brian Sutton, Amanda and Wesley Givens, and Diana Tursi; her step-great-grandchildren, Isabel and Olivia Sutton and William Givens; her niece, Sandra Millar, her nephew and wife, Kevin and Sue Ren; and loyal friend, Pat Poindexter. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Huntsville Baptist Church, with Reverend Dennis Shaw and Reverend Brian Chilton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at Huntsville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to Huntsville Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Foster Family.
