East Bend Mr. Jimmy Woodrow Taylor, 77, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Taylor was born November 8, 1936 in Forsyth County to Evan and Annie Tedder Taylor. He was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the Piedmont Antique Tractor Association. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Stimpson, Frances Baity, and Carrie Vestal. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Anne Hutchens Taylor; two children, Jimmy Daniel (Janice) Taylor and Dena (Timmy) Riley; three grandchildren, Hannah Taylor, Zane (Michelle) Riley, and Taylor (Kasey) Riley; and one great grandchild, Annalee Riley. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 4:00PM at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Elmore officiating. He will lie in state from 3:30 to 4:00. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkin Christian Ministries, PO Box 204 Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center and Yadkin Valley Community Hospital for all the loving care given to Mr. Taylor.
