Betty Jean Holcomb Murphy

Betty Jean Holcomb Murphy, 60, passed away Wednesday August 6, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1953 to the late Crate and Thelma Burcham Holcomb. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Raymond Burcham, Norris Burcham, and Spencer Holcomb. Surviving are her husband of 43 years Billy Ray Murphy; two son Billy Todd Murphy and Michael dale Holcomb; grandchildren Billy Conner Murphy, Cheyenne Raye Murphy; two sisters Carrie Ann (Fred) Swaim, Linda Hutson; three brothers Donald Holcomb, J W (Daff) Holcomb, and David Holcomb. Her funeral will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday August 9, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Barlow Stanley and Rev. Ricky Burcham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Victory Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
