Cora Ruth Howell

Cora Ruth Norman Howell, 96, passed away Sunday August 31, 2014 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. She was born December 25, 1917 in Yadkin County to the late Ervin and Cora Bovendor Norman. She was the best Mom and Nanny anyone could ask for and she will be greatly missed. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lonnie Zeno Howell; a daughter Melba Beamer who passed away three years ago on the same date; a son Phillip Gray Howell; a grandson Jimmy Beamer. Surviving are her daughter Margaret (Rick) White; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Grace Bible Church. Her funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday September 3, 2014 following the visitation by Rev. Keith Kannenberg. Burial will follow at Harmony Grove Friends Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Valley Community Hospital and Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Howell.
