Junior Warnard Daye

Daye Yadkinville - Junior Warnard "J.W." Daye, 90, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born October 16, 1923 in Wilkes County to the late Mormia Norman Daye and Gracie Chambers Daye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Adelene Velma Reynolds Daye; four brothers; three sisters. Surviving are his children, Diane (Graham) Jester, Debbie (Roger) Maines, Timothy (Michelle) Daye, Darlene (David) Watts; grandchildren, Melissa (Travis) Black, Tommy Jester, Ashton (Jon) Sullivan, Hayle Daye, Bethany Daye, and Noah Daye; great grandchildren, Tyler Black and Austin Black; several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel by Brother Steve McCollum and Brother Steve Johnson. Burial will follow at Shacktown Church of Christ cemetery with full Military Honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Clemmons Village 1 for years of care and continuous love. It has been our home away from home and we will miss the staff and residence dearly.
