William Tilden Shaver

William Tilden Shaver, 79, passed away Thursday September 11, 2014 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital. He was born April 2, 1935 to the late William Carl and Grace Blackburn Shaver. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Linda Collins, two sisters Dovie Nichols and Bernice Tillman; one brother Ray Shaver. Surviving are his wife Kay Myers Shaver; children Ray (Eliane) Wilson, Donald Wilson, Rose Mary (Charles) Allen, Cecil (Antoinette) Wilson, Gary (Trish) Shaver, Anissa (Patrick) Prater; twenty grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; a brother James (Margaret) Shaver. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Solid Rock Baptist Church. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM following the visitation on Sunday at the church by Rev. Robert Wiles and Rev. Jim Jarvis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors by the NC National Guard and the VFW Post 10346. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, Mountain Valley Hospice and his care taker Rick Brown for the loving care given to Mr. Shaver.
