Bernice Owens Brown

Boonville Mrs. Bernice Owens Brown, 87, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Brown was born October 31, 1926 in Wilkes County to Kent and Virginia Holcomb Owens. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Brown; four sisters, one brother, and a daughter-in-law, Eileen Brown. She is survived by six children, Kent Brown, Eddie (Ann) Brown, Atha (Larry) Doss, Everette (Kay) Brown, Amanda (Randy) Ashley, and Emory (Juana) Brown; nine grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 3:00PM at Boonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pruitt Health Rehab Facility, 560 Johnson Ridge Road, Elkin, NC 28621. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to their sister, Atha, for all the loving care shown to their mother over the past few years. Also to the staff of Pruitt Rehab facility in Elkin for the care and support shown to Mrs. Brown and her family. Online condolences may be made
