Elijah Raekwon Maness

Elijah Raekwon Maness, 18, passed away Wednesday September 24, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1996 in Guilford County to Bengie Maness and Monica Cardwell. Elijah was a wonderful young person who loved everyone especially his mother and brother. All three of them where deeply bonded. He will be forever missed. His favorite interests were wrestling and cooking. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ben Maness. Surviving are his mother and step -father Monica Cardwell Meimaris and Nikolas Meimaris; father Bengie Maness brother Canaan Cardwell; sister Wenzday Meimaris; grandparents Brian and Sabrina Tate, Jesse Cardwell, Beatrice and Neville Smith; great grandparents Wiley and Eva Tuttle;two special aunts Sasha Smith, Jessica Nelson; special uncle Jacob Tate; He had numerous special friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday September 28, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday September 29, 2014 at Branon Friends Meeting by Rev. Eric Morrison. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of the ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Medical center for the loving care given to Mr. Maness.
