Thad Asbury Wiseman

Wiseman Yadkinville - Thad Asbury Wiseman, 80, went to be with is Lord and Savior on Thursday afternoon, September 25, 2014 after dying unexpectedly at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 14, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Clyde Hauser Wiseman and Goldie Carter Wiseman. Thad accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and remained faithful. He was a member of Union Cross Friends Meeting, where he also taught Sunday School. Thad loved being outdoors, enjoyed reading (his favorite book was the Holy Bible), and learning about history. He sold Rosebud Salve for over 40 years, and made several friends selling the salve. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Eugene Wiseman; half-brother, Howard Wiseman. Surviving are his brother, Claude Gray (Peggy) Wiseman; special niece, Jennifer Wiseman; special nephew, Johnny Wiseman; special aunt, Lela Wiseman Johnson; nephew, Dwayne (Emily) Wiseman; nieces, Rachel (Joe) Newsome, Susie (Lee) Cleveland; other family members and friends. His funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Union Cross Friends Meeting by Dr. Robin Dixon, Brother Lawrence Warden, Dr. Jerry Gibbons, and Rev. Bobby Choplin. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
