Billy Gray Murphy, 68, passed away Monday September 29, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 21, 1946 in Yadkin County to the late Walter Bruce and Stella Poindexter Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in law Jennifer Murphy. Surviving are his wife Joy Dale Ashley Murphy; children David Gregory, Carolyn (David) Pearson, Donald Murphy; grandchildren D J Pearson, Joshua Pearson, Hannah Pearson, D J Murphy, Keely Murphy, Matt Murphy; two sisters Kay Murphy (Wayne) Cleary, Mary Jane Murphy (Dennis) Vestal. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday October 4, 2014 at Victory Chapel Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM on Saturday October 4, 2014 at Victory Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Joey Burton.
