Yadkinville Heaven is rejoicing from receiving a precious angel on Friday, October 3, 2014. Donny (Bunk) Jay Hutchens, 58, went to his heavenly home. Donny was born October 22, 1955 in Forsyth County to Jay C. and Marie Goad Hutchens. He attended Richmond Hill Baptist Church. Donny was a kind hearted, loving man who loved his Lord and Savior, his family and friends. He loved to hunt and fish and be outdoors. Donny enjoyed growing a garden, and giving the produce away to others. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutchens was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Wayne Hutchens; a sister, Carolyn Speer; and a niece and nephew. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Pam Atkinson Hutchens; his precious children, Delana Rhiann Hutchens and Gavin Donny Hutchens; his brother, Tommy (Deanie) Hutchens; his sisters, Lynne (Henry) Reaves and Faye (Sam) Petro; brother-in-law, Tommy Speer; sister-in-law, Mia Steelman; his sweet dog, Lady; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, October 6, 2014 at 4:30PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Will Hamric and Rev. Robert Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, ICU and ICCU and also to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for all the love, care, and support shown to Mr. Hutchens and his family during this difficult time.
