Jimmy Harrison Macemore

Hamptonville Mr. Jimmy Harrison Macemore, 66, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014. Mr. Macemore was born January 21, 1948 in Surry County to Lem Harrison and Margie Turner Macemore. He was a member of Swaims Baptist Church. Mr. Macemore enjoyed racing, fishing, working in his vineyard, doing yard work and spending time with his nephews. Mr. Macemore was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Faye Brown Macemore; two sisters, Peggy VanHoy and Joyce Poplin; mother-in-law, Josephine Brown; brother-in-law, Gray (Debbie) Brown; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Alvis) Groce and Denna (Tommy) Shore; nieces and nephews, Lynn (Perry) Brown, Jamie (Tabitha) Poplin, Andrew (Alisha) Brown, and Crystal Vanhoy; and great nieces and nephews, Joel and Andrew Jones, Trey and JD Lomax, Aamir Adams, Micah Poplin, Skyler Darnell, Ally Poplin, and Beau and Bella Brown. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:00PM at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating and Larry Luffman speaking. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3919 Swaims Church Rd Hamptonville NC 27020. The family wishes to thank the staff of Forsyth Medical Center CICU Room 5157 and the staff of Glenn's Restaurant for all the love, care, and support shown to Mr. Macemore.
