Troy Otis Blevins

Blevins Jonesville - Troy "Odie" Otis Blevins, 77, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. He was born March 20, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Luther Alexander Blevins and Beulah Sharpe Blevins. Odie was a Deacon of Island Ford Baptist Church and also served several years as the Sunday School Superintendent. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Simmons Blevins; brothers, Kenneth Aaron Blevins, Norris Lee Blevins, Buddy Eugene Blevins. Surviving are his children, Alfreda (Rick) Weimer, Alanna (Randy) Hedrick, Troy Steven (Amy) Blevins; grandchildren, Amber Hedrick, Nathan Hedrick, Briana Hedrick, Samuel Weimer, Michael Weimer, Johanna Weimer, Daniel Weimer, Gabriel Weimer; great grandson, Grayson Bumgarner; sisters, Mae Evalene Welborn, June (Howard) Flynt. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Island Ford Baptist Church by the Rev. Charlie Kennedy and the Rev. Conard Hatfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
