Avonell Kirk McKnight

McKnight Yadkinville - Avonell "Nell" Kirk McKnight, 93, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Clemmons Village 1. She was born March 30, 1921 in Yadkin County to the late Frank and Bertha Matthews Kirk. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall McKnight; sister, Pearl (Laster) Williams; Surviving is her special friend, Carol Sue Everhart, that always considered Nell her second mother, she has taken care of all Nell's needs for the past 18 years. Nell leaves to cherish her memory her many friends at Deep Creek Baptist Church and neighbors. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Ron Davis. Burial will follow at Deep Creek Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. We would like to thank all the staff at Clemmons Village 1 for the wonderful care and love Nell received.
