Mary Ruth Hunter Bolin

Boonville Mrs. Mary Ruth Hunter Bolin, 84, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mary Ruth was born September 24, 1930 in Yadkin County to William and Mallie Caudle Hunter. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and retired from Hanes Hosiery with over 35 years of service. Mary Ruth enjoyed collecting cardinals and light houses and was an avid reader and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends with everyone she met. In addition to her parents, Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Montgomery Bolin; her son, Ralph Montgomery Bolin; three sisters, Irene Huff, Ann Casstevens, and Toni Burcham; and three brothers, Roy, Lee, and Grady Hunter. She is survived by five grandchildren, Yvette Bolin, Joshua (Sammie) Bolin, Michelle Bolin (Dustin Sparks), Matthew Bolin, and Jason Bolin; five great grandchildren, Gatlin, Haylie, Hunter, Tanner, and Sophia; two sisters-in-law, Nell Hunter and Mary Ruth Brown; and special family members and extended family including church family. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 4:00PM at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with Rev. James Pardue and Rev. Barlow Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In place of a family visitation, the family requests that you send a special story or fond memory to PO Box 11 Boonville, NC 27011.
