Zelda VanHoy Weatherman

Jonesville Mrs. Zelda "Faye" VanHoy Weatherman, 77, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Weatherman was born January 24, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Luther and Grace Hutchens VanHoy. She was a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church. Mrs. Weatherman was a 1955 graduate of West Yadkin High School and retired from Sara Lee with over 40 years of service. Mrs. Weatherman is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles "Landy" Weatherman; two children, Landa (Dennis) Bell and Jody (Jodi)Weatherman; four grandchildren, Bart (Stephanie) Bell, Sarah Beth (Marcus) Fuller, and Maggie and Tate Weatherman; a sister, Margaret Martin; a brother, Luther "Bud" (Ruth) VanHoy Jr.; two special nieces; one nephew; and her loyal dog "Bucky". A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Dennis Bell and Rev. Tim Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Mtn. View Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn.
