Merrill Edgar Reavis, Sr.

Merrill Edgar Reavis, Sr., 78, passed away Sunday November 9. 2014. He was born January 3, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late Edgar and Edna Reavis. He was preceded in death by his wife Shelby Jean Reavis. Surviving are two sons Merrill Reavis, Jr. and wife Bessie, Michael Reavis and wife Sandra; grandchildren Chris (Dina) Reavis, Trista (Eric) Johnsen, Amanda (Johnny) McHone, Christy Reavis; great grandchildren Kaiden McHone, Bryce Johnson, Nathan Johnsen, Jake McHone, Doughton Reavis, Nick McHone. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday November 10, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM November 11, 2014 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Will Hamrick and Wayne Gardner. Burial will follow at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery.
