Gladys Shores Vanhoy

Gladys Shores Vanhoy, 90, passed away Friday November 21, 2014 at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born August 28, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Calvin R. and Fannie Money Shores. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Kermit Vanhoy. two sons Ronnie C. Vanhoy and Michael G. Vanhoy, two sisters and two brothers. Surviving are a daughter Gayle (Gary) Salley, a son William "Bill" (Becky) Vanhoy; grandchildren Cindi Salley (Kenneth) Burton, Melinda Salley, Shane Vanhoy, Chris Vanhoy, Cole Baron, Kelly Baron, Karen Dobbins; great grandchildren Katrina (Kelsey) Walls, Mechi (Franc) Loredo Madrid, C J Vanhoy, Emma Ruth Vanhoy, Cameron Blevins, Kylie Dobbins, Connor Baron; great great-grandchildren Nicki, Robbie, Kinzy, Jacob, Alex, Yasmin, Analicia; four sisters Leola Barr, Sarah Johnson, Mary Alexander, Carolyn Collins. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday November 23, 2014 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her service will follow visitation at 3:00 PM Sunday at Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow in the Boonville Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Vanhoy.
