Joe David Douglas

Hamptonville Mr. Joe David Douglas, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Douglas was born June 5, 1938 in Yadkin County to Paul and Minnie North Douglas. In addition to his parents, Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by three siblings, Ann Newsome, Junior Douglas and Dallas Douglas. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Adams Douglas; three sons, Randy (Cindy) Douglas, Todd Douglas, and Kelly (Liz) Douglas; six grandchildren, Dustin, Hope, Spencer, Bailey Paige, Bailey Renea, and Jackson; two brothers, Tom Douglas and Frank (Barbara) Douglas; and one sister, Jane Talley. A memorial service will be conducted Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00AM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Joe Souther and Rev Kenny Pardue officiating. The family requests that no flowers be sent, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
