Ola Mae Bruce

Bruce Yadkinville- Ola Mae Bruce, 94, passed away peacefully Monday, December 8, 2014 at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem. She was born August 3, 1920 in Yadkin County to the late Alexander Cyrus and Millie Louisa Melton Bruce. Ms Bruce was retired from Western Electric, A.T.&T., with several years of service. She was a faithful member of Baltimore United Methodist Church where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher, and served on several committees in the church. Ms Bruce was an avid reader, loved making her crafts and taking care of her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jeter Bruce, Greek Bruce, Leslie Bruce, and Robert Bruce. Surviving are her nephew, Harold Bruce; her nieces, Nell Pullen and Dorothy Hutchens; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 PM Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Baltimore United Methodist Church by the Pastor Kelly Giese. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Baltimore United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2419 Baltimore Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
