Hobert "Darrell" Vanhoy

East Bend Mr. Hobert "Darrell" Vanhoy, 48, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home. Darrell was born February 7, 1966 in Yadkin County to Hobert and Della Ruth Jester Vanhoy. He was Vice President and co-founder of Yadkin Valley Mechanical in Rural Hall. Darrell loved his family, his music, playing golf, and his dog Max. In addition to his father, Darrell was preceded in death by a niece, Tammy Vanhoy. He is survived by his mother; his loving wife of 12 years, Rhonda Fink Vanhoy; a son, Justin (Ashley) Howell; step children, Holly (Brad) Bryant, Katie Billings, Dakota Billings (Amber), and Logan Billings (Lori); two grandchildren and four step grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Toby) Vanhoy; four sisters, Beverly (Michael) Whitaker, Pam (Martin) Jester, Sarah (Danny) Carter, and Paula Dinkins (Tim Caudle); and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 3:00PM at Peacehaven Baptist Church2200 Booger Swamp Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055, with Rev. Lorne Bryant and Rev. Jon Bowman officiating. He will lie in state from 2:30 to 3:00PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
