Jessie Ray Moxley

Moxley Yadkinville- Mrs. Jessie Ray Moxley, 81, of Las Brisas Drive passed away peacefully Thursday, December 12, 2014. She was born June 3, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Frear and Lillian Matthews. Mrs. Moxley was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Travis Moxley, who preceded her in death in 1967. After his death, she became owner of Moore-Moxley Insurance Company of Yadkinville, which she operated for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Yadkinville, and the Yadkinville Downtown Business Association. Mrs. Moxley loved to travel, either by plane throughout the world, or spending time at the beach with her family and friends. Surviving are her daughter, Lynne (Henry) Reaves of Conway, SC; granddaughters, Candace (Kris) Asher of Wilmington, NC, Amanda (David) Goldberg of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Eden Asher, Sam Goldberg, Katelyn Goldberg; special friends, Linda (Paul) Pardue, Jonesville, Katherine (Patrick) Whittington of Graham; special niece, Janice (Ray) Wilson of Clemmons; and other family, relatives, and friends. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Yadkinville by Rev. Richard Eskew and Rev. Ken Boaz. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the North Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to either the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231 or the American Cancer Society,1114 Magnolia St, Greensboro, NC 27401.
