Sarah "Mae" Winters Bryant

Boonville Mrs. Sarah "Mae" Winters Bryant, 92, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Bryant was born September 8, 1922 in Yadkin County to Wesley "Pop" and Ivy Carlton "Mom" Winters. She was a lifelong member of Mitchell's Chapel UMC and enjoyed gardening, yard work, and flower arranging. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hubert Bryant; a sister, Eula Vestal; three brothers, Fred, Clifford, and Bernice "Bunch" Winters; and a son-in-law, Pete Snow. She is survived by two daughters, Debby (Dan) Hoots and Leshia (Brent) Hunter; three grandchildren, Brant (Amy) Snow, Landon (Autumn) Hunter, and Jessica (Chris) Cheek; two great grandchildren, Lane and Braden Snow; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 3:00PM at Mitchell's Chapel UMC with Rev. JP Sizemore and Rev. Oliver Helsabeck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitchell's Chapel UMC 2410 Center Road, Boonville, NC 27011. The family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, and the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center, especially the staff of 600 Hall for the loving care shown to Mrs. Bryant.
