Edith Scott Shore

Shore Goldsboro- Mrs. Edith Scott Shore, 73, of Goldsboro and formerly of Yadkin County, NC passed away peacefully Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She was born March 26, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Herman and Minnie Leamon Scott. Mrs. Shore was a beloved, loving wife, mother, and homemaker to her family. She lived a life of devotion and support while serving as a Pastor's wife, with her husband, Dr. John R. Shore, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldsboro. She was a graduate of Boonville High School Class of 1959 and was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldsboro. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Stokes, and brothers, Buford Scott, J.D. Scott, and Wade Scott. Surviving are her husband, Dr. John R. Shore, whom she married on December 23, 1960. of the home; her sons, John Randy Shore, Scotty Dwayne Shore; her daughter, Rebecca Shore Mulligan, and husband, William "Bill" Mulligan; a brother, Roger Scott; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Gentry Family Chapel with her husband, Dr. John R. Shore, and her son-in-law, Rev. Bill Mulligan officiating.
