Beatrice Brooks Welborn

Jonesville Mrs. Beatrice Brooks Welborn, 85, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Welborn was born September 6, 1929 in Wilkes County to the late Buel and Evie Chambers Brooks. She was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Welborn is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ralph Welborn; three children, Marquita (Rex) Gregory, Dennis (Ann) Welborn, and David Welborn; four grandchildren, Renee (Shane) Cheek, Derek Gregory, Jennifer Welborn, and Jessica Welborn; four great grandchildren, Bryson and Connor Gregory, Jada and Tanner Cheek; a brother, RB Brooks; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00PM at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 2501 Swan Creek Road, Jonesville, NC 28642. The family wishes to thank the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice and Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Welborn.
