Mary Lee Walls Talley

Yadkinville Mrs. Mary Lee Walls Talley, 79, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Talley was born March 17, 1935 in Wilkes County to T.F. and Sena Mickle Walls. She retired from Unifi and worked at the Flea Market in Hamptonville selling clothes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by four sisters, Louise (Sam) Bell, Dorothy (Jack) Wall, Irene (Warner) Wilcox, and Elsie (Gus) Makas; a brother, T.F. (Sonny) Walls, Jr.; an infant sister and an infant brother. She is survived by one son, Danny (Freida) Talley; two grandchildren, Cory and Alex Talley; former husband, Estil Talley; sister-in-law, Mittie Walls; nieces, Elaine (Bobby) Nance, Linda (RC) Wilmoth, Dianne (Danny) Myers, Jackie Hartzog, Libby (Alan) Cockerham, Joyce Ann (Rick) Freeman, and Kathy (Dana) Spillman; a nephew, Tommy (Tina) Walls; and several great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Patti Choplin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Furry Friends of the Foothills Pet Rescue, PO Box 850 Yadkinville NC 27055. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for all the love, care, and support shown to Mrs. Talley.
