Audrie Wooten Brown

Brown East Bend - Audrie Mae Wooten Brown, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was born June 18, 1930 in Yadkin County. Audrie was a member of Forbush Friends Meeting. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Vernon Augustus Brown; mother, Goldie Wooten Hobson. Surviving are her children, Vernon (Vickie) Brown, Judith (Vernon) Shore, Nancy Taylor (Richard Lawson), Myra (J.W.) Vestal, Larry (Gina) Brown; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Carter; several nieces. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Forbush Friends Meeting by the Rev. Michael Thames, the Rev. Jake Penley, and the Rev. Scott Welch. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Forsyth Medical Center for exceptional care during Audrie stay.
